#051: Why Retail Stores Lose Money and How to Fix It

This episode of the UnPodcast, was all about retail. Among other things we discussed how one retail chain makes three times as much money as a result of paying higher wages, how stores can reduce shoplifting, and simple things employees can to do increase sales.

We also discussed the best way to deal with poorly performing employees, the things that matter most to customers, and the one phrase that should be removed from every retail employee’s vocabulary.

For Whom The Bell Mobility Tolls: Employee 5-Star App Reviews

****UPDATED****

The Canadian Competition Bureau announced that, among other things, Bell Canada will be fined $1.25 million for encouraging employees to leave reviews of their app. Also,  “Bell has indicated that it will sponsor and host a workshop to promote, discuss and enhance Canadians’ trust in the digital economy, including the integrity of online reviews.”

No word on if they will ask us to run the workshop 🙂 Now we wait for our next Bell bill, which may include an extra million dollar up charge.

#050: Celebrating Our 50th UnPodcast Episode
